How To Wash Exotic Dancewear

               


So you've invested in some new exotic dancewear pieces to elevate your performances, but now you're wondering how to keep them looking their best. Here is the ultimate guide on how to wash your exotic dancewear to ensure that your new investment continues to pay off for years to come! All of Moments Exotic’s exotic dancer outfits and lingerie are HAND WASH ONLY!

  • DO NOT IRON OR LEAVE IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT( will fade fabric color) 
  • DO NOT LEAVE YOUR ITEMS TO SOAK! (will ruin any metal attachments, and cause rhinestones to fall off).

WHITES -DO NOT USE BLEACH ON WHITES. To whiten your whites, let one denture tablet (yes a denture tablet) dissolve in a container of gentle detergent and water, then add your whites, swish them around and let soak for NO MORE THAN 2 MINUTES.(set a timer please)

FEATHERS- You can VERY GENTLY use the cool setting on a blow dryer to fluff your feathers back up.

HOLOGRAPHIC- Holographic fabrics naturally fade over time.To keep holographic items vibrant, NEVER WEAR IN POOLS OR HOT TUBS DUE TO CHEMICAL DAMAGE! Minimize friction to extend holographic fabric life. 

LATEX-To prevent color staining, store each latex outfit separately in its own sandwich or gallon plastic bag.

How To Wash Exotic Dancewear:

1)Separate items by color. Wash neon pink and neon orange ONLY with each other, or alone. Wash neon green and neon yellow ONLY with each other, or alone. Wash pastels together. Wash dark colors together. Wash sequin fabric separately( so it doesn’t snag your other items). Wash glitter fabrics separately and LAST, so that glitter does not get on other non-glitter outfits. Wash whites alone.

 

2)Mix gentle detergent into cool water and swish outfits around. Apply a drop of detergent to the crotch area. Gently rub crotch together, and rinse crotch under warm water. 

4)Pour out water and refill with cool water. Swish items around to remove detergent. Rinse and wring items individually until water runs clear.

5)Pat dry any diamond or metal accents with a paper towel. Hang on a plastic hanger to dry. Ensure outfits are not touching each other while hanging up to dry! The colors will stain each other. 

 

ROBE CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Do not iron your robe. Use a steamer on the lowest possible setting for wrinkles. Wash robes by hand individually.

JEWELRY CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Mix lukewarm water with gentle soap. Insert jewelry and swish it around. DO NOT EVER ALLOW JEWELRY TO SOAK IN WATER. Rinse in cool water and pat completely dry with a paper towel. Lay jewelry out to finish drying on a towel. Do not allow the pieces to touch. Store pieces separately in a dry, room-temp area out of direct sunlight. Avoid harsh chemicals. Keep away from water, lotions, and perfumes for longer-lasting shine.
